Quick report
After a solid approach in tennies, we found good skiing on the upper 1,000' of Lil Jo today. We transitioned to skinning somewhere near 7,000', and near noon it started to snow at a decent rate. We dug on an east aspect near 8,400' and found 85cm on the ground. There was 15cm of dry new snow sitting on a supportable crust, with the bottom 30cm of the pack consisting of facets. ECTX. The wind was variable throughout the day shifting between calm and moderate speeds (15 mph) on the summit ridge.
