While touring behind Snowbowl in the Rattlesnake today we observed rapidly changing conditions. On wind-loaded test slopes, we easily triggered slides with crowns up to 3’ feet in depth. • Height of new storm snow 14” (35cm) • Shooting cracks and collapsing on ridge tops • Propagation in extended columns in wind affected areas. • Freezing rain below 7000ft after 4 pm

Temperatures increased throughout the day; we experienced a light freezing rain below 7000ft. Winds were moderate with strong gusts out of the west. It was becoming difficult to stand on ridge tops by the end of the day.
