Quick report
Quick lap from snowbowl this afternoon, went up point 6 from lavelle then skied southeast ridge down to Jenny lake. Started out w/ poor visibility but skies fully cleared by the time I was back at snowbowl lot ~3pm. No red flags or signs of instability observed, but it was obvious the ridgelines had experienced strong winds (1/8) and noticed wind loading on the south facing terrain beneath the Death Star. There was a delicate crust with graupel on south aspects but it hardly affected the skiing. Kept it chill and low angle on the southeast ridge to the lake, true south facing snow was heavy but all in all it was enjoyable. It’s great that it feels like winter up there!
