Quick report
Spent Saturday and Sunday up on Little St. Joe. Skiied the east face's north (Saturday) and south (sunday) bowls. Snow accumulated both days. Saturday was much windier than Sunday, but both days there was sufficient wind to transport snow - the wind was gusty, with periods of calm, and periods of gale. Wind swirled around and changed direction constantly with no predominate direction. We were unable to trigger any kind of snow movement on numerous test slopes, observed no cracking/whumpfing, and saw no avalanches. We kept things pretty conservative on Saturday, but skiied several slide-able shots on Sunday after thorough discussion. The snow felt very stable the entire day on Sunday. Its entirely possible that as the new snow comes in and then settles, things change drastically, but this weekends skiing was fantastic.
