Quick report

Cracking
widespread

The snowpack is the most stable it's been all season. Only reactive layer would be the upper foot or so. This layer is heavy wet new snow sitting atop a thick melt layer that has recently froze back up. We did observe some cracking indicating the potential for a Storm Slab Avalanche. The rest of the snowpack(180cm) is very dense but is full of water. So as temperatures pick back up, the potential for Loose Avalanches, Wet Slab Avalanches, and Glide Avalanches will likely increase.

Snowpack

The top 12" is soft as it's new snow. The rest of the snowpack is very dense with a few ice crust layers throughout. At the ground is a very thin layer of facets.
