Partly cloudy skies became overcast around 9 a.m., and snowfall started around 1030. About 3 inches accumulated by 1 p.m. when we left the field. Moderate southwest winds.
Snowpack
We targeted westerly aspects in preparation for the incoming storm. West and northwest aspects will make the naughty list. We found soft crusts and facets on sunnier west aspects (see profile) and on shady west or northwest aspects, just weak facets.
