Our group went to ski the east face of Ben Lomond. On the ascent up Cutler ridge the snow was corning up nicely and felt very stable. We decided to ski the east face. I dropped onto the steep pitch first, and the snow felt a bit more reactive so I made a cut. I looked over and watched the gully slide. We should've been more mindful to the possibility of wet slabs especially given how wind loaded the east aspect can be
