Collapsing
specific

snowpack consistently collapsed during boot pack, fell through to hip depth (~36”) several times, experienced some small slabs while climbing that were fairly insignificant. on initial observation, thought it was 3-4” of wet snow on crust, crust layer ended up being very weak. widespread instability at high slope angles. very wind blown snow pack.

Avalanche

Skier A triggered slide while skiing down. Slab released along a turn Skier A had made. Snow had a long runout and narrow path. Skier B cautiously skied down to meet Skier A, the slope was triggered again, and was briefly carried by the snow sluff from the initial slide.
