Quick report
The snow near Holden village around 3500 feet is rock solid ice. I was sledding down hills just by sitting down on them and lifting my feet. And walking up hills there is just enough give to find purchase while climbing with regular snow boots, but definitely the snowpack fully supports my weight.
Avalanche
An avalanche fell off of the cliffs on the south west facing aspect of buckskin, at around 6,600 feet of elevation. It was close to 500 feet acrossed and fell around 800 feet down over the cliffs. It looked like a cloud fell from the sky!
