Quick report

With widespread power outages affecting weather station data, a quick drive to Snoqualmie Pass helped assess new snow accumulation. Temperatures were barely above freezing, around 33 degrees at Pass level. Lower elevations have picked up a couple inches of new snow, while mid and upper elevations have certainly gained more. Last night, Alpental weather station recorded a 112 MPH gust at 2am, just before loosing power. Safe to say, it's very windy up there. With multiple systems lined up, hopefully we can soon travel on snow instead of pavement.

Temperatures were hovering just above freezing at 3,000 feet. A mixture of snow, graupel, and rain fell at light to moderate rates. Wind was moderate at Pass level.

Snowpack

Low elevations have picked up an inch or two of new snow, falling on to bare ground. Snow totals increase with elevation, though the poor visibility limited my ability to quantify.
