Snowing steadily all day, with brief tapering midday before resuming. We stuck to simple, trees terrain and had fun. There was definitely wind affected snow at ridgelines and around Austin pass. The snow quality was good, improving through the day
Avalanche
Easy to trigger 4-6" storm slabs in the morning. Largest was the corner of the roll test slope at top of cheap date. If steep enough, slopes would move but not much propagation. At the end of the day, the mornings snow seemed to have stabilized but the top few inches of fresh were unstable. Slabs didn't run particularly far although some sluffs moved a bit further down low angle slopes than I expected.
