It got quite hot out there today once the sun came out in the afternoon. Snow surfaces took a lot of heat, even some lower angle northerly slopes. Other than the collapses observed in one area, no other signs of instability. Had multiple collapses in one ski zone. including a double collapse in one area. They were all sheltered mid elevation northerly aspects.

Westerly light to moderate winds all day.
Snowpack
Northerly surfaces are a mix of DF/FC/SH. Solar slopes are a mix of mostly supportable and some breakable crusts. Observed widespread surface hoar in areas not getting cooked by the sun today.
