The relatively warm temperature under partly overcast skies was a nice reprieve from the recent feet-numbing cold. The winds were calm, and a slight smoky haze was observed.
Snowpack
Snow depth ranged from 70 centimeters to bare ground depending on the aspect. The snowpack was generally right-side up with little cohesion except in the basal layers.
