We found great snow off the summit ridge on Mt Field - we had some concerns about possible windslab traversing climber’s left onto the roll to approach the summit ridge, but it appears as though the windslab reported the day before had started to facet out in the cold temps. We had no instabilities and the wind was light on the summit, but stronger on the approach up to the headwall. There was a cold cloud sitting in the bowl below the summit and signs of wind loading on a few of the rolls. The skiing in the alpine below the peaks was incredible and there was surprisingly good coverage in the trees lower down.
