Weather

Very warm day with temps near 50 and only a few clouds up high. A north west wind was gusting and keeping west aspects cooler.

Snowpack

East slopes had just over a meter of snow. Only the top 10cm of the snowpack had frozen the night before. Below that the snow was very wet. Though most of the pack was melt forms, there was a layer of rounds and rounding depth hoar on the bottom. These layers were wet and 4F to F hard. There was a notable crust about 35cm down and this crust had some results in snowpack tests. West slopes were shallower, with a height of snow around 80cm. The same melt-freeze crust was there, about 35cm down, and had slightly more stable results in snowpack tests. The depth hoar was rounding, and moist.
