Quick report
- Red Flags
- Rapid Warming, Poor Snowpack Structure
Wet slide activity on SW facing slopes where we were traveling.
Low elevation snow is melting fast. The Weber Canyon road is free of snow for the first couple of miles and the sled access is dwindling quickly.
Wet slide activity should increase with forecasted warm temps, especially without hard refreezes at night. Possibility of persistent slab activity on northerly facing slopes as the warm temps may make weak interfaces more sensitive.
Snowpack

-
The forecasted warmer temps should bring the snowpack to life.

Good refreeze over night. Still soft snow on upper elevation north facing slopes.
