Just east of Sunset Pass on the skin track to ski below Sunset Pk, we noticed the cornices had become extremely large and overhung the cliff at least 10'. As such, we decided to retreat, not go any further onto the exposed skin track. Our group decided that we will avoid this area until the cornice (see photo) has dropped. We offer this observation because of the popularity of this area and fact it is easy to miss or not pay attention to this hazard.
