Quick report

We found about a foot of unconsolidated powder that showed no real signs of wind effect, save for the very tops of ridges. No evidence of slab formation in the storm snow. Sun made a nice appearance but didn’t affect the snow much where we were (N facing terrain, predominantly). The storm snow down low (below 5000’) was a bit denser and shallower allowing a skier to feel the crust from this past week’s rain event. On steeper aspects, sluff, though noticeable, was manageable. We skied steeper pitches one at a time, eyes on as much as possible just to be safe. We skied in the lower angle pow with friends and giggles just to be fun.
