Snow was very windblown and variable all the way up. We dug a pit on the south side of the ridge. Test results: CT failed on isolation, ECT 8 Q2. There was a very pronounced pencil hard wind slab approximately 16 inches thick on top of fist hard snow with facets near the bottom. Total snowpack was 43 inches. We stuck to low angle terrain.

Wind slabs were observed on most aspects and elevations
