Snowpack
Dug a few pits ~10k' with fairly consistent fair stability results- on N aspect found CT 12 Q2, ECTP 14 Q2 and RB4 Q2, all failing ~30cm down on the new snow/old snow interface, 3 out of 5 lemons. One ECTX on a sightly more westerly slope where the old snow surface seemed more wind compacted. One ECTP 4 Q2 on a 15degree slope, NW aspect. The buried NSF here are small, but there are plenty and they're not bonding especially well to the snow above. Not much evidence of the rime crust in this neighborhood. Some small cracking, but not dramatic. We kept angles low and didn't see any snow moving, but in the right terrain- steep and unsupported- it's easy to imagine kicking slabs off on N and NW aspects at this elevation. I bet it's more touchy a couple k lower...
