Quick report

Toured from the top of J7 to the top of the Negatives via the Hourglass and Zero Bowl then dropped into N2. * Fresh snow depths varied from 4-5" in more exposed areas to 8-24+" where wind had deposited snow * No signs of instability in the new snow. Temps were cold and new snow was unconsolidated and not cohesive. * New snow was light enough that uphill travel was occasionally on the firm bed surface underneath, and sidehilling through the hourglass choke and upper zero bowl got slippery. * Zero bowl is quite thin coverage and more wind stripped, upper zero bowl had 1-3" max of new snow * Entrance to N2 was edgeable windboard, but once off the ridge we found excellent skiing with up to 12-24+" inches of unconsolidated cold snow * No cracking, whumpfing, or instabilities noticed in the descent * Wind was moderate all day, light snowfall throughout. * Many sharks present and lurking just below the surface.
