Northern aspect above tree line, we dug a snow pit and conducted column and extended column tests, the snow was very dense and did not fail during either test. There were high winds in higher elevations scouring snow from ridge lines and depositing it elsewhere. There was evidence of a small D1 avalanche at the top of the Ridgeline from a small cornice.
