Snowpack
I found a springtime (isothermic) snowpack. The top 4-10 inches were refrozen. The snowpack was soft under the crust. 250cm's of snow on the ridges at 5800 feet. There was a sight dusting of new snow but pretty insignificant to stability. The coold breeze and broken cloud cover was keeping the rapid melt at bay which made travel decisions pretty easy.
