Quick report

At 6000 ft Pyramid Lk found 20-25cm of soft new snow sitting on a thick and hard crust, supportable for foot travel. A thin, 2-3mm thick, rime/rain crust was present 10cm down from the snow surface. At 6400ft NE aspect a subtle hardness difference, hard over softer snow, was found in the top 2cm snow surface due to wind effect. Where present, this top 2cm was stubborn to cracking or sliding in informal hand shears. Otherwise, not much sign of wind influence. Observed isolated dry loose sluff of snow surface while walking down 35 deg slope.
