Quick report
Observed a variation of snow types including zipper crust, proper corn skiing, and old shaded faucets on primarily N, NE aspects. There were many natural wet loose slides releasing much earlier than we had anticipated.

Party of two on Teewinot observed two natural wet slides at the mouth of Crooked Thumb. First was relatively small and came from some snow shedding off a rock band on the lookers left (north and shaded) side of the couloir. It ran past us and through the gut of what we were preparing to boot up. It was an R1 but large/fast enough to sweep your feet out from under you. Upon seeing this we decided to turn around and call it. While transitioning we saw a second wet slab release on the south facing side across from us (took a screenshot of the video we luckily got). This avalanche shedded off some rocks and would’ve been enough to burry someone deep and cause some serious trauma. We then skied down and observed one other natural wet slide on an eastern aspect.
