A couple of explosive tests and ski cutting on steep west facing slopes were unproductive. The 2/2 interface is a hard melt freeze crust on anything south of due west, under an ~16"-20" settled slab. I got one small shooting crack on this crust. On lower angle terrain or WNW aspects, the layer is facets and we got several collapse near ridgeline where the snowpack has been thin all season. Snowmobilers across the valley reported a large collapse and shooting crack near where Evan triggered a slide on Sunday (East, NTL). Guided group reported one large collapse on W NTL; that sounded like it was on an older weak layer near the ground.
