Quick report

Skinning up penguin, we saw a potentially skier-triggered small avalanche (unwitnessed, but see tracks in pic; unique because it was NE aspect in absence of other reactivity) demonstrating the region-wide weak reactive layer at approximately 2000ft. Many pocket-releases similar in character to turnagain and falls creek reports were visible above 2k ft, but lacked the depth of the Girdwood zone. Most naturals were on SW aspects that had exposure to late day sun. Some natural releases had more crisp crowns/debris piles, possibly as recent as yesterday. We noted some subtle wind effect and snow transport at upper elevations and general snow warming at all elevations.
