Route: Eddies to 2400', and other than venturing into the north bowl for the crown profile, we stuck to the skin track up when skiing laps. Red Flags: The red flag of the day was the very large avalanche, and sympathetic release, below Eddies headwall. See specific avalanches as part of this ob for details. Additionally, collapses were common when deviating off skintracks, and occasionally occur when traveling on newer skin tracks as well. Finally, isolated cracking was observed, including a fairly massive crack on a steep rollover near the top of Eddies west face run; see photo below of this crack observed from the skin track. Weather: Broken to few clouds, with occasional low clouds/valley fog. Temps in the teens to low 20s, calm winds. Snow Surface: The moist snow observed near the surface in the top 6-12" of the snowpack from 400 - 2100' was dry today. A thin crust - the result of wet grains on the surface yesterday freezing overnight - was noticeable below 1300', and it sat under 2-3" of soft new snow from yesterday afteroon/night. Snowpack: No formal pit today, just the quick profile at the site of the avalanche!
