Quick report
We started our ride today out of the Little Truckee Summit trailhead and made our way up towards White Rock Lake. On our way up the snow was very soft and wet with no signs of freezing temperatures overnight and very rapid warming. At around 8500’ a crust layer had formed on shaded slopes. In a quick test pit we had sudden results with no propagation.
