Quick report
We returned to Trimmer to see if any cold snow remained from the Thursday storm. We did not observe any snowpack collapses today, in contrast to the widespread whumpfing on Friday. It was windy and snowing on and off all morning (1-3cm total). Winds came from the west and upslope (N). The clouds were low and rolled in and out of mid slope elevations. Above freezing and humid. At the location noted (9950ft NNE) there was 90 cm of right side up storm snow on a decomposing crust. HS 170-200. The snow surface transitioned from cold and enjoyable to sticky mashed potatoes by 12pm.
