Quick report
We hiked up the Annette Lake trail then toured north of Silver Peak and exited via Windy Pass. The surface above treeline was mostly breakable crust through early afternoon. We observed a small amount of blowing snow on ridge lines. There was a wide crown on the north slope of Silver Peak that seemed to wrap east around Silver Peak Basin, across several terrain features. There were some openings on steep slopes that looked like glide cracks. We did not observe any signs of current instability; the avalanches looked to be from prior days.
