Quick report
It was a beauty of a day in the swans yesterday with clear and calm conditions. I climbed up from the summer TH, there was a good 6 inches of new snow from the skin/ ski tracks from last week in the upper bowl. The sun was in full force, and on the solar aspects many of the rimed up trees and rocks were shedding their weight which were causing roller balls to do their thing. Some high clouds and light wind prevented the snow surface from getting too warm for any other movement. Safe to say any solars have a melt freeze crust on them, and I did note some small surface hoar crystals shimmering in the sunlight on most slopes from the clear nights. I dug once on my ascent of the south face, near 7500'. HS 140 cm, ECTX. Unimpeded views up top revealed zero natural activity, save for the roller ball party on the solars. Skiing conditions were excellent.
