Quick report
Out skiing and snowboarding in WA Pass environs, rode SW, W, and SE aspects. Challenging travel conditions below about 6000'-6500' as others have noted, with a few inches of light snow over a very firm, icy crust and a generally thin snowpack. Conditions improved drastically above that, with ~6" of soft snow above the crust, more in places. Snow on the SE aspect began to get heavy and wet from the sun around 11am, so we switched to SW and W aspects and experienced better quality. Traces of old roller balls observed, but other than that no signs of instability observed.
