At 3900 feet did hand sheer on NNE (30 degree bearing) broke on1 cm crust while cutting and 63 cm down cohesive slab with moderate force. Layer that fractured was 0.25cm facets that were starting to round. And 12 cm slab broke off afterwards (possible new snow) No precip and got colder around 1pm. Sky: covered wind light from NE no BS. Temp air -5C, surface -5C
