Snowpack

Continuous snow cover on northerly aspects starts at around 7,400' in this area. Southerly aspects are bare ground up to 8,300'+. In the northerly aspect terrain I traveled in this area between 7,400' and 8,100', there was consistent coverage of about 10 to 15 cm (4 to 6 inches). This was mostly composed of a foot supportable, K hard rain crust. On top of the rain crust was 1 to 2 cm (0.5 to 1 inch) of dry facets in most areas with the addition of 6 to 10 mm surface hoar on open slopes. Bed surface and weak layer are currently in place. No overlying slab at this time.
