Quick report

Collapsing
widespread

Went for a walkout near Pettit Lake. Left the car around noon and back at about 3pm. The day started cold with 4 at the car but warmed up throughout the day. Not much evidence of wind down low in the valley however saw some snow being transported up high on the peaks above. Widespread collapsing almost everywhere I walked. Still some sagebrush showing on solar slopes down low. Dug into the snow at 6,900' NW aspect. Snow depth was 60cm with facets, crust, facets in the bottom 30cm of the SNPX. Results: CT12 Q1 @ 20cm, ECTN16 @20cm, ECTN18 @20cm, PST18/100END @20cm, PST15/100END@20cm (I was a bit shocked when the extended column tests didn't propagate, especially after seeing the propagation saw tests were pretty reactive).
