Sherman Peak

Location: Larch Bowl and Lower Hourglass Windblown snow producing cracking on leeward slopes N & NE aspects above tree line, above 6000 ft. Last week's snow is bonding good around 5000 ft. Above 6,000 feet snow is more dry and less consolidated. I was able to trigger the top 1inch of snow to sluff while descending. Total snow depth 3ft above 5500ft. Temp at 5500 ft 32 degress F, Temps above 6000ft 25 degrees F Overall impression of stability is good. Snow will have the next few days to set up before the next storm.
