We observed intermittent bouts of light snow falling from foggy, mostly obscured skies and light winds from the south and northwest. Temps were mild throughout the day, hitting 33F around 1pm on a NE aspect at 5380'.
Snowpack
Rollerballs and wet loose debris were observed on all aspects, at all elevations. The new snow (10cm avg) we found was soft, sticky, and evenly deposited over windward and leeward slopes. Underlying crusts are supportable but there are several melt-freeze crusts in the upper snowpack. Warm temps and liquid precip could change the stability of these crusts.
