Collapsing
specific

Storm and Wind Slabs present with recent loading and high winds. Storm Slabs present on all aspects at and below treeline. Wind slabs present at and below treeline from NW to Southern aspects. At mid elevations near: - 8900ft, The new snow reacted with a Sudden planar fracture at 90cm after a CT of 17. During our extended column test ECTN was observed after 17 taps at 90 cm. Collapsing was also observed along creek edges at 8,790 ft in the Sardine Meadows area while touring. Whoomphing was observered/heard from a second group touring along a NW aspect adjacent of our group. Did not collapse until 3rd skier bypassed point. Collapsing did not propagate or trigger any sliding.

Wind slabs are present at and below treeline from NW to Southern aspects. At mid elevations near: - 8900ft. During our extended column test ECTN was observed after 16 taps at 117cm and 17 taps at 90 cm.
