Quick report

Strong winds over the past week have created a sastrugi wasteland around Dehlia Creek, Two lakes and the knob. All elevations and all aspects have been kissed by or ravaged by the wind. Many slopes were eroded down to the tundra, and upper elevation slopes were covered in dirt blowing from the east side of the mountains. I observed several small thin wind slab avalanches, and one large one. These avalanches likely failed sometime last weekend near the start or during a period of strong winds. Any test slope I traveled on that harbored a thicker slab of wind-drifted snow was bulletproof, and unreactive.

Clear skies, mild temperatures, and blustery winds. Moderate to strong winds were eroding the snow on the east side (windward) of ridgelines, creating plumes of drifting snow at upper elevations.
