Quick report

started late 2pm, temp was near freezing, with calm winds from the SE, overcast skies, new snow was observed but surface conditions were variable between loose and wind affected, there where no red flag observed while touring, wanted to gain insight into what the snow was doing in a possibly wind loaded area and how that would affect the deeper persistent problem we have been experiencing. dug a pit on the northern aspect of hatch peak @ 4100ft with a slope angle of 29° total snowpack depth was 170cm we found poor structure, ectp1965cm, failed on weak depth hoar layer
