Quick report
We skied a few runs in the Tincan trees as the storm arrived. Snowfall was off and on throughout the day, but really ramping up in the afternoon. We didn't see any red flags, but we also were staying clear of any kind of terrain that could avalanche. The combination of wind, new snow, and a known active weak layer is alarming for the coming days, even after the weather passes.

There was about 2" new snow while we were out, and snowfall was picking up as we headed back to the car around 4:00. Winds were moderate out of the northeast at treeline; we never went into the alpine where winds were likely much stronger.
Snowpack
There was 6-10" of soft snow on top of a crust up to around 2000' or maybe just a little lower. Around a foot of soft snow on the surface at 2200'. We only dug one quick pit, but we found the 2/14 surface hoar large, intact, and upright at around 1500'. This was sitting under several thin crusts at 1500', which disappeared by 2000'.
