Consistent whumpfing throughout both 2026-02-21 and 2026-02-22 in this zone. The whumpfing started on Bacon Rind, and continued consistently as we moved over towards Ernest Miller. There was a layer of fresh snow on top of a crust layer. We had seen the ob. on GNFAC about the slab on the north part of the Ernie Miller Ridge, but didn't get eyes on the avalanche itself. We did not see any cracking, and we were walking on fresh, non-wind-affected snow most of the day. The next day (2026-02-22), the snow we had skied on the day before was much more wind-affected, and small wind slabs had formed in isolated spots. We dug a pit at the coordinates below.
