Warming took place today although not obvious, a lack of direct solar and typical signs like rollerballs, snow shedding off cliffs or wet loose activity led us to continue skiing. We triggered a storm slab. What felt consolidated earlier in the day, loosened and slid easily on a crust layer 12-24" below the surface on a rocky, shallow, south facing slope.

A group of us entered the Jesus Jammy chute around 1430 and skied one at a time through the upper third. We regrouped before entering the steeper and narrower terrain. We skied one at a time to another regroup point before the chute splits directions . We planned to go skiers left, an apron down to the skin track. The first skier entered the slope and made few turns when the slab released. Skier was caught and carried a few hundred feet below. They were mostly buried in the debris but able to self extricate, uninjured. Debris ran past skin track below the run.
