Avalanche

This morning at approximately 8:30 AM we stopped just short of the ridge on Powderhouse to transition for our descent, and we witnessed a small wind slab avalanche naturally release about 50 feet in front of us. See photo. Strong winds were blowing over the ridge and saw cracking where tree cover thinned near the top.
