Quick report

We toured N-NE-E aspect terrain from the top of Red Vista Rd south to the E slopes of Elephant's Back. A strong snow surface refreeze had occurred in this area overnight. It appeared to have had less overnight cloud cover than other locations around the forecast area. On an open N aspect near 8,700' we had 26 cm of I to K hard snow surface refreeze with soft wet snow below it. HS at this location was 170 cm. By 11:45 am, 2 inches of surface wet snow had formed on E aspect terrain near 8,900'. We exited the area around 12:15 pm with ski supportable conditions on all aspects traveled between 8,400' and 9,000'.
