Quick report
Toured to 7250' on north aspects in the central Bitterroot. Pit at 7150' on north aspect in 220-260 cm snowpack. ECTN17 on a density change 15 cm down, ECTN26 on an inconsistent facet-ish layer ~30cm down. Below that, snowpack felt bomber. Really nice skiing at middle and upper elevations in sheltered terrain. Anywhere with a hint of west wind exposure was awful icy windboard with 2-6 inches of low density snow on top -- tough skinning conditions. Nice approach/egress conditions on canyon bottom.
