Conditions have settled down quickly following the past storm. The snowpack is generally stable in the lost horse drainage, except for wind-loaded westerly slopes and potentially cross-loaded north and south aspects at upper elevations. On these aspects, I would avoid slopes over 35º.
Essentially no signs of instability were found today, although we were not on steep west slopes. Very isolated cracking in thin (3") wind drifts on a NE aspect were the only sign of instability.Weather

Cold day, overcast, but clouds were a thin veil so the sun made it through. Winds were howling out of the east at upper elevations, scouring east aspects and loading the west.
Snowpack
Today we found between 200 cm -245 cm (79"-96") of snow at upper elevations in the Lost Horse drainage today. 51 cm (20") of new snow sits on a stable and right-side-up base.
Stability tests produced no propagation, and no concerning layers were found in our 130cm deep snowpit.
