We built a small jump on a 35-40 degree slope that was south-east facing around 9000 feet in aspens/pines. I was below the jump off to the side behind a tree when my friend hit it. He came off the jump wrong and impacted the slope very hard and I immediately felt a collapse within the snowpack. It was my first snow collapse I've experienced so I can't say if it was big or not but he landed about 50 feet away from me and it felt like he landed right next to me based off how much the snow shook under my feet.
