While skinning up the side ridge of Taylor Pass en route to the top of basketball peak we stepped onto the edge of a firm wind slab just beyond the wind scoured rocks which subsequently triggered a storm slab to our west in the bowl facing sunburst. Cracks extended 15 feet directly uphill and downhill from the tip of my skis before shooting across the hill and releasing about 40 feet from the trigger point. Lots of both natural and human triggered slides were observed on all aspects at all elevations. Most looked to be in the .5-1.5ft crown range. Brief eriods of strong gusting winds and clouds throughout the day mixed inbetween periods of calm sunshine.
